Likes:
It was a small guest house, which made it more like a home than a hotel would have done.
Dislikes:
Did struggle up the very narrow stairs, (like the post office tower!).It would have been dodgy if I had a lot to drink or carrying a heavy suitcase.
Response from Viner House:
THANK YOU i WILL ENDEAVOUR TO PUT MY TELEPHONJE NUMBER ON VIEW.

"A pleasant stay with a welcoming hostess."
The proprietor could not have been more welcoming or obliging. Her premises are not ideal for bed-and-breakfast purposes, and the narrow winding staircase would be seen as a hazard by some guests, but her willingness to accept pets, and her own dog's friendliness, offset this in our case. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed comfortable, but perhaps would be improved if a small TV and and some easy chairs could be provided. Read less
Likes:
Excellent breakfast, tea and cake on arrival, home-made bread. And the general feeling that we and our dog were thoroughly welcome.
Dislikes:
The stairs, as mentioned above.

An overnight stay in Stroud, Viner House is an easy walk from the station about 10 mins.
It is an unusual house, quite quirky with an amazing old staircase to the room at the top of the house.
The room was comfortable large and very crooked, no straight lines here.
The welcome was friendly and the breakfast very good.
I would stay again.
